I am a descendent of Patrick Mulvena (1757-1849) & Anne McAuley. They moved from Antrim to Quebec in their old age. I know very little about these two. I am keen to learn about their lives in Antrim. Their son, John Mulvena , participated in the 1798 Rebellion as a 14 year old. John's younger brother, Hugh Mulvena is my ancestor. Very little is known about him. Was there a line of Mulvenas (with one 'n') in Antrim at the time. Or was the second n dropped on their voyage to Canada? Can anyone shed any light on these Mulvenas?
